Susan has more than 20 years in the
Communications field, advising leadership on corporate communications
objectives, creating communications plans and strategies for internal and
external projects, writing executive speeches for CEOs and world leaders, along
with promoting, advertising and creating marketing communications strategies
that create positive and effective public perception including building key
relationships within communities and their leaders. A graduate of the University of Houston with a degree in journalism,
Susan is a published essayist, a former correspondent/reporter for the Houston
Chronicle and has won several awards for her feature articles. She is a life
member of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo serving on several committees.
Those committees include her present committee – the Speakers Committee, where
she is a Go Texan Outreach & Special Events Coordinator, a committee
ambassador, a member of the rodeo clown team, the melodrama and the former
editor of the Spoken Word – the committee's official newsletter. Susan also
recently could be seen on the “big screen” at the Show every night singing
the National Anthem with the Rodeo Choir. She previously served as a staff
writer for the Bowlegged H Magazine and on the Communications Editorial
Committee. She began speaking to groups more than 10 years ago when she was asked to
give a speech to a group class at a career consulting firm. Her speech was so
successful that she was asked to “do it again” at the request of an audience
member for their business organization. Since then, she has spoken to groups of
all types – from youngsters to the seniors, Susan’s voice could be heard
inspiring everyone to live their lives to the fullest – to find the way to
reach their goals and dreams. And, one of her favorite speaking engagements is that of Auntie Suzie, the storyteller. Children from five to eight (and sometimes to 80 and above) love to hear her original “Animal Tails.” She soon will have her children’s book ready for kids of all ages! Also,
